Parallels: Straight, with spacing in accordance with reality at the equator and slowly increasing away from it.
Scale
Scale is correct along 30°N/S parallels.
Distortion
Free of distortion along the 30°N/S parallels. The map’s distortion is predominately in the form of areal inflation.
Origin
Same as Gall stereographic but with 30°N/S as secant parallels. It appeared in 1937 in the Great Soviet World Atlas (Bol’shoy sovetskiy atlas mira).
