Similar projections
Snyder tetrahedron is similar but more distorted, especially along the lines of symmetry. Small circle equal-area tetrahedron is very similar.
Origin
The methodology was presented by Dietrich van Leeuwen in 2006, generalizing John P. Synder’s 1992 work. The methodology applies to any Platonic solid.
