What is a projection?

Previous | Next

hamusoidal

Parameters: Undistorted axis, Parallel curvature 0 ≤ W < 1.0

Description

Modified Hammer projection such that the horizontal axis, or the vertical axis, or both has correct scale all the way along it.

Classifications

lenticular
equal-area

Graticule

Meridians: Complex curves except for straight equator.
Parallels: Complex curves except for straight central meridian.
Poles: Points.

Scale

Correct along either the equator, the central meridian, or both, depending on configuration.

Parameters
