It depends on which direction you formulate the homotopy because it is directionally asymmetric. In this case, the direction was from cylindric equal-area to Mollweide. In the reverse case, the result will have a pointed pole, but outermost meridian’s angle of incidence to the pole will become shallow without bound.Piotr wrote:Didn't expect the average to have curved pole lines...
